How to activate tao hua in feng shui?

In order to activate love luck, you must first find out your specific Peach Blossom or Tao Hua direction in the bedroom. The Chinese called love luck "peach blossom luck or tao hua yun". Therefore, in feng shui, peach blossom or tao hua actually refers to love luck.

For the singles who are not in any steady relationship, enhancing tao hua yun can increase dating opportunities, which might later lead to a marriage.

The tao hua direction is important to couples too. If their bed or objects that can enhance tao hua are placed in that direction, it can increase the risk of a third-party intrusion into their love relationship.

The most effective method of activation would be to place the bed in the love luck corner, with the head facing that direction. However, quite often due to space constraint in the bedroom, this might not be feasible.

The alternative is to put an object that can enhance tao hua, in place of the bed. Among the objects that can enhance love luck, flower vase is the most effective. Please note there must always be fresh flowers in the vase. If getting fresh flowers is too troublesome, then just filling the vase daily with fresh water will do.

[Caution: An empty vase or one that contains stale water in the tao hua direction can also enhance love luck, but this type of tao hua is the rotten type and will bring misfortune.]

Before putting a vase, first we have to know what element a colour or shape represents. Each colour or shape is an expression of one of the Five Elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire & Earth).

Next, we have to look at the two main cycles of interaction between the Five Elements: Productive (cycle of creation) and Destructive (cycle of destruction), as shown in the blue chart.

The productive cycle (strengthen a particular element)

Metal nurtures → Water nurtures → Wood nurtures → Fire nurtures → Earth nurtures → Metal

The destructive cycle (counteract a particular element)

Metal counteracts → Wood counteracts → Earth counteracts → Water counteracts → Fire counteracts → Metal

Check out your love luck direction before buying the vase. For example, if your Chinese zodiac is Monkey, then the West will be your tao hua spot (see green chart).

When you refer to the blue chart, you will see that the element for West is Metal and that Earth nurtures Metal.

Therefore, the vase to be displayed in your love luck direction should either be of the Metal or Earth Element. The corresponding colour and shape for Metal are gold, silver or white and rounded-shaped while that for Earth are yellow or brown and square-shaped (see above chart).

Where possible, the material from which the vase is made should also represent the required element. In the case of a vase, the Five Elements are expressed in the following materials:-      

• Metal element - metal such as brass, copper, stainless steel
• Water element - glass
• Wood element - wood
• Fire element - plastic
• Earth element - ceramic or porcelain

(Note: When choosing the vase, the colour should be the first criteria, second comes the shape, and then the material of the vase.)

Normally, after activation of the love luck direction, it would take one to two years before any results can be seen.  Of course, there are exceptions wherein some people managed to meet their ideal life partner within a short time from activation.

In closing, I would like to reiterate that couples should not activate their love luck direction.  It is just not worth the risk!
